OZMENT, Gladys Rae Overton, age 89, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013 at her home. Born in Bells, TN to the late Edna and Bob Overton, her first job was “Rosie the Riveter” at McDonald Aircraft in Memphis where she met her loving husband of 68 years, Morris Ozment. Gladys was a member of Andrew Price United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling, playing golf, cooking for her family and sewing. Preceded in death by her five sisters and three brothers. Survived by her husband, Morris; daughter, Pat (Mike) Ryan; son, Danny (Patsy) Ozment; grandchildren, Julie, Cory and Courtney (Brandon); great granddaughter, Sydney; loving nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Julie for taking such good care of Mamaw. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 in Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family 2 – 6 p.m. Sunday and Noon – 2 p.m. Monday.
