Floyd Lawrence Wiseman went peacefully to be with the Lord on October 4, 2018. He was born July 13, 1929 in McKeesport, PA to Roderick and Mary Wiseman. He spent his early years in Turtle Creek, PA, and then graduated from Monessen High School. Floyd played football at Monessen and attended Carnegie Mellon on a football scholarship. He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. After graduating with a Management Engineering Degree, he went to work for Continental Can in Pittsburgh and was then drafted into the US Army and after two years was honorably discharged.
From there, he went back to EW Bliss in Pittsburgh, then H.K. Porter in Lynchburg, VA, Ohmite Manufacturing in Chicago, IL and Hoover Ball and Bearing in Georgetown, KY. He then moved to Carthage, MO to work at Spring River Creamery and Steadley Company. He went on to earn his brokerage license to work for and retire as a branch manager for A.G. Edwards in 1986.
Following his retirement, he and his wife Jane divided their time between the Upper St. Clair and Canonsburg, PA area and The Villages, FL, enjoying family, friends, golfing, extensive traveling, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Floyd is survived by his beloved wife Jane of 65 years; daughters Sandra Smith, Linda Jones, and Karen Roberts; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings Violet Wiseman Fonner, Roderick Wiseman, Jr., and Jean Wiseman Blake.
