Age 89, departed this earthly life for her heavenly home on April 17, 2019.
Dorothy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother with a life focused on her strong Christian faith, the care and well-being of her family, and being a wonderful and supportive friend to the many lives she touched. She had a love for flowers and gardening as well as a love for cooking – and she exceled at both.
She was a member of Lincoya Hills Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. Previously, she was a charter member of Two Rivers Baptist Church for over 40 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Troy Baker. Survived by sons Steve (Linda) Baker of Knoxville, TN and Mark Baker of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Andy, Kaitlyn and Brenden Baker; and extended family, Bobby Thompson of Lebanon, TN.
Services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at Hermitage Funeral Home with Pastor George Ibach officiating.
Interment to follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation with family will be 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Hermitage Funeral Home prior to the service.
