Doris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose life was marked by resilience, faith, and a deep love for her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles D. Spearrin; her parents, Wynford and Sylvia Gregory; her daughter, Angie Spearrin Noe; her sister, Martha Craig, and her brothers Dennis Gregory and Douglas Gregory.
She worked for and retired from the DuPont Corporation, where her dedication and strong work ethic earned the respect of all who knew her. Later in life, she found immense joy working for Metro Nashville as a school crossing guard - a role that brought her true fulfillment and allowed her to care for the children in her community, whom she adored. Doris was a longtime member of Temple Baptist Church of Old Hickory, where she worshipped faithfully and formed lifelong friendships within her church family.

She was a proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Doris' love, laughter, and warm heart will be remembered by generations to come. She touched countless lives with her gentle spirit, her strength, and her unwavering devotion to her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A Visitation for Doris will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home and on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Her funeral service will be on Friday, April 11:00 at 2:00 PM in the Tulip Grove Chapel at the funeral home with Bro. Donnie Blick officiating. Following the service, Doris will be laid to rest in the Garden of Peace at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
