Colby was born and raised in Nashville. He attended Hickman Elementary School, Donelson Middle School, and McGavock High School. He has resided in Mt. Juliet, TN for the last 2 years.
Colby spent time gardening, growing vegetables and planting flowers with the love of his life, his daughter Valerie. He enjoyed cooking, smoking meat, and grilling on the Blackstone whenever he could. Colby loved watching Nascar, Formula 1 racing, Titans football, and he recently took up hunting with his Uncle Del. His favorite color was “orange” and he was a true Tennessean.
Colby is survived by his parents Jason and Christi Whetstone, daughter Valerie Whetstone, brother, Chase Whetstone, paternal grandparents, Joel and Sherri Mullen, maternal grandmother Barbara Yeakey and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A visitation will be held Saturday August 19, 2023 at the Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Park 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00PM. Celebration of Life service will be at 1:00pm.
