I look back on all my days working with Charlie at Sammons fondly, what a great friend and boss he was, and a very good man.

In my lifetime, i can't say i have met a finer gentleman than Charlie Fite.      The entire Sammons Family admired and respected Charles, Jean and the boys.      It was a privilege for all of us in the Sammons-Pennington organization to work with him.    I remember the first time i met him at 214 6th Avenue South when i was in the 3rd grade in 1963.         His genuine smile warmed up every room he entered.

Somewhere in heaven, Charlie and his pal Big George are selling somebody new Seeburgs and bringing warmth to all those around them.     If there are cars in heaven,  I'm confident Charlie is driving a Chrysler product.

Aunt Jean, Tony, Chris, Kerry, and your families,

I'm so saddened about Uncle Charles.  He was such a dear man.  I always loved his Old Spice smell and gentle spirit.  I never saw him angry or upset in all my years.  Dale and I are so sorry that we are unable to make his services.  It breaks my heart to not be there.  

I have great childhood memories of looking through NADA and Blue Books at your kitchen table, shooting pool in your basement, and the jukebox!  K1 was Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road--my favorite.  My favorite memory, though, was when Kerry would stay with us while you and Uncle Charles went to the vending convention each fall.  Sean, Kerry and I couldn't wait for you to return with the bags full of vending candy.  We would stay up late (on a school night) taking turns picking pieces of candy until it was all gone.  

Aunt Jean, you were such a wonderful, devoted wife to him.  You were blessed to have 59 years together.  Hang on tight to those memories until you meet him again on the other side.

Jean & Family,  I am so sorry to hear about your loss.  Kenneth & I talk often & he has always kept me informed on how Charles was doing.  I will never forget about the time Charles thought he had lost weight only to find out you had let the pants out.  My prayers are with you all.

Dear Jean and Family,

Please know how very sorry we are of the loss of Charlie.  What a kind and gracious man he was and so dear to my Dad and Mom.  Dad felt like he was part of our family and so appreciated all that he did at the Nashville office. You and Charlie and Mom and Dad have had some wonderful times together.

Charles and I grew up together sharing many childhood memories from days on the Fite farm in Brush Creek,TN. He was a loving and thoughtful young man that shared his kindness with everyone he met. He has left a wonderful heritage for his three sons Chris,Kerry and Toni who have all his qualities. Jean was a devoted wife and loved her husband dearly.He will be missed by his big brother,Kenneth Fite and everyone who loved him as the gentleman he was. God Bless all the family, Shirley Nelson

My heart breaks for all of you. Charles was a fine man. Always will to help out when someone needed it. I was a neighbor for most of my life and knew if my daddy wasn't availabe I could always count on him. Our neighborhood was a great place to grow up, neibors were close and did alot of things together. Lots of great memories with the Fite family. Charles will really be missed, especially by my dad. Charles was his best friend for 48 years and they had the exact same birthday. Rest in peace Charles, you will be missed by many.
