Bobbie Gilpatrick Greer, 89 of Hermitage, passed away Sunday July 21, 2024. She was born August 25, 1934 in Madison, Tennessee to William and Florence Wray. Bobbie grew up in Madison and graduated from Isaac Litton High school. As a teenager, she worked for the Madison Cab Company. At a very young age, Bobbie met and married Charles Gilpatrick and together they were married for 28 years before he passed in 1978. She was a wonderful homemaker and mother. Bobbie worked for DuPont in various positions and retired after 30 years. She then went to work part time at Hancock Fabrics. Bobbie enjoyed the outdoors and spent time camping, hunting deer and bear as well as fishing with her family. Bobbie was also an avid golfer and enjoyed her time at Old Hickory Country Club. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, hosting family dinners and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents William and Florence Wray, her husband; Charles Thomas Gilpatrick, sons; Charles Thomas Gilpatrick III, William Owen Gilpatrick, grandson; Charles Michael Parrish and a granddaughter, Chelsea Jean Gilpatrick.
She is survived by her daughters: MichaelAnne ( Ed) Roderick, Janice (Jim) Kannard, a son, David (Gina) Gilpatrick, an brother Gerald (Jane) Wray and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday July 24, 2024 at the Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and from 10:00 AM until the Celebration of Life service at 11:00 AM on Thursday July 25, 2024. Interment to follow in the Garden of the Apostles, Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
