Billy was born May 1, 1935 in Horseshoe Bend, TN to the late Ernest and Louise Robinson.
Billy leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Joyce; his daughters Vickey Babb and Teresa Greer; and his grandchildren Daniel, Megan, Bobby, and Tiffany; and ten great-grandchildren.
He also leaves behind his siblings William Nathan Robinson, Anita Cavender, Nancy Dickie, Geary Robinson, and Brenda Harrison; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, Billy is preceded in death by his son Timothy Robinson and his sister Annelle Upchurch.
Until his recent hospitalization, Billy remained active in his garden and was always looking for new and inventive ways to grow the best vegetables that he could. He routinely scoured Pinterest for recipes using his crops and enjoyed sharing it all with his friends and family. If he wasn’t tending to his garden, Billy could be found in his garage working on anything mechanical or putting his many years of construction work to use.
In his younger days, Billy, a former Marine was an avid golfer and secured many bowling trophies. Most notably, Billy dedicated several decades to the construction industry and along with the late Jack Williams, built hundreds of single family homes throughout Middle Tennessee.
Ever cheerful, generous, thoughtful, and inventive, Billy was a dearly loved spouse, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Although he will be missed terribly by his family, they take comfort in Billy’s vibrant spirit and happy memories that they will cherish for years to come.
