JONES (Russell) Barbara Jean - born August 13, 1942 to the late Robert and Lola Russell. She was an Educator in the Metropolitan Nashville School System and was actively involved in the CBS (Community Bible Study Group) for many years. Barbara was also an active member of the New Hope Church (Hermitage, TN) where she served as a Sunday School teacher and was an encouragement to everyone. Her Daily prayer and heart’s desire was for those who did not know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. Good health was not hers to enjoy in recent months; life’s challenges came her way; however a Christ-like heart for others remained her testimony. On the most difficult of days, She never failed to express “I have so much to be thankful for…..”
In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her precious daughter, Donna Marie Felmley, sister, Mildred (Millie Russell) Crawford and brother, David M. (Mickey) Russell. She is survived by her son, John G. (Victoria) Jones, sister, Ina (Kirby) Sands, Brothers, Robert L. (Joyce) Russell Jr, William Mark (Sherrie) Russell. and her Son-in-Love, Eric (Todd) Felmley. She is also survived by her dearest Cousin and lifelong Friend, Nancy Flagg-Wallison (Fountain Hills, AZ)
Her many cousins, nieces and nephews were an added treasure in her life. So many close friends were added to her prayers of gratitude each and every day. A very special thanks to her neighbors on Boxcroft Circle, to the Staff and Employees of MARISTONE (Mt. Juliet), Amedisys Hospice, her treasured Community Bible Study friends, and her many close friends who visited often, provided transportation, and/or shared a meal with her.
