Angus Gillis Jr., age 99, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020. Angus was born September 5, 1921.
He was a US Army WWII veteran and retired as an engineer from Dupont after many years of service.
Angus was preceded in death by loving wives Marcella Peck Gillis and Nancy Weaver Gillis and by brother Sidney Hearne Gillis.
He was survived by son, Angus (Elaine Copeland) Gillis III, daughter, Martha Gillis (Robert) Gessler, step - daughter Jeana Moriarty, grandchildren, Robert B. Gessler Jr., Brian Lee (Julie) Gessler and Elizabeth E. Gillis, and by great grandson Ivan C. Gessler.
Private family services will be held at Hermitage Memorial Gardens with Pastor Paul Casner officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Donelson Presbyterian Church or the donor's charity of choice.
