Alice Mae Jackson

She was born in Shelbyville, Tennessee, to the late Samuel Roy Jacobs and Della Mae Shirley Jacobs. Mrs. Jackson was a member of Ruth Ensor Memorial United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, baking for her many friends. She was a mother to many and never met a stranger. Her friends will miss her hugs and loving spirit. She always had a smile for everyone. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Jackson, and siblings, William “Bill” Jacobs, Clara Gardner, Helen Edwards, Calvin Jacobs, Sue Collins, Betty Mooneyhan, and Charles “Bud” Jacobs.

She is survived by her daughters, Becky Jackson and Linda (Doug) Weaver; grandchildren, Justin Weaver and Jessica Weaver; and sister, Ann Jacobs.

Visitation will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.

The Celebration of Life will be conducted at Hermitage Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Kay Hereford Voorhees officiating.

Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
