Lovelace; daughter-in-law, Sally Ann Niederhauser; great-grandson, Damon Ellis, and her beloved husband, Ernest Niederhauser. She was the oldest 8 of children and has outlived all of her siblings and her children. She grew up in West Nashville and she graduated from Central High School. She and her family were very active in the Swiss Reform Church and the Swiss Community. She met her husband Ernest in her church in the Germantown area of Nashville. They settled in Donelson when Lebanon Road was a dirt road. She worked with Ernest in the family business, Swiss Farm Dairy. They worked night and day at the farm, and loved their employees and the Donelson community. She would say that we never took a vacation because milk cows don't take a vacation. Swiss Farm Dairy was purchased by Purity Dairies in 1965. She and Ernest retired in Brandywine Farms on Old Hickory Lake and built their dream home. The 4th of July was always a special time for her because everyone in the family would be at her house. She loved her family, her church, was an avid bridge player, enjoyed fishing, gardening, and cherished time on the lake as well as spending time with her many grandchildren. Adelaide "Granny" was always positive and upbeat. If anything was worth doing it was worth doing right. That is the way Granny wanted it. She lived alone after her husband passed in 1969 and loved life! She lived unassisted until the age of 104. She has been such a positive role model for her devoted grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and everyone she met.
