Jeremiah O'Leary

Jeremiah O'Leary, 75, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at Cornell University Medical Center in New York. Born in Skibbereen, Ireland, Jeremiah had lived in Old Bridge before moving to Point Pleasant Beach in 2007. He was a veteran of the US Army; and a manager for Verizon in New York City for over 30 years. He loved playing golf, taking walks on the boardwalk, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Jeremiah was predeceased by his wife, Catherine O'Leary in 2005. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Eileen & AJ Goodman; his daughter and son in law, Debbie & Eddie Lee; his son, Michael O'Leary; and his grandchildren: Una, Andrew, Dylan, Catie, Michael, Cayden, Brady, Devin, & Courtney. Jeremiah is also survived by his sisters: Nellie Bohane, Catherine Donoghue, Margaret Lynch, & Anne Sheehan; and was predeceased by his brother, Connie O'Leary, and his sister, Betty Collins. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 2, 2013 from 7-9pm and on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Rt. 9, Old Bridge, NJ 08857. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 9am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment will follow to Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
