Tammy Lee (Frey) Morgan, 57, of Edgerton, Kansas passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday March 26, 2025. She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, Mimi, sister, Aunt and Friend to everyone she knew.
Tammy was born on August 19, 1967 in Merriam, Kansas to Joseph Lee and Nancy Lee (Dayton) Frey. She attended and graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School and continued her education at Johnson County Community College earning herself a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Tammy met the love of her life Dale Duane Morgan. They were married on March 14, 1986 sharing 39 beautiful years together. They raised their two children Tyler and Ashley. Tammy enjoyed spending time with her family and attending all her grandkids games front and center. She will be fondly remembered by her love for Jesus, her smile that lit up the room and the way she treated everyone like family. She enjoyed traveling different beaches with her husband and their walks along the coastline, and their trips to their 2nd home in Playa del Carmen in Mexico with their friends.
Tammy worked as a builder and a secretary alongside her husband’s business, “Custom Concrete”. She also enjoyed boating, brunching, margarita Friday nights with her husband and laying by the pool in the sunshine. She will be forever missed.
Tammy is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Nancy Frey. She is survived by her loving husband of thirty-nine years Dale Morgan of the home, son Tyler Morgan and his wife Danielle of Edgerton, Kansas and her daughter Ashley VanLerberg and her husband Rich of Gardner, Kansas. Left behind to cherish her memory are her nine grandchildren: Richard VanLerberg IV, Landon VanLerberg, Bentli VanLerberg, Avery Morgan, Haylee VanLerberg, Brinley Morgan, Ellie Morgan, Lainey Morgan and Liam Morgan. Tammy is also survived by her two brother’s David Frey and his wife Ruth of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Joey Frey and his wife Erin of Chanute, Kansas and one sister Leanne Standley and her husband Bob of Olathe, Kansas. Tammy is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Tammy will be cremated according to her wishes. A “Celebration of Life” honoring the memory of Tammy Lee Morgan will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Life Mission Church 16105 South Lone Elm Road Olathe, Kansas 66062 following the Celebration of Life lunch will be served for family and friend.
