Sandra Ann (King) Willett, 87, of Topeka, Kansas passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, March 22, 2025. She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Sandra was born on May 31, 1937 in Pierre, South Dakota to Aubrey Dillon and Carrie Blanche (Conboy) White. She attended and graduated from Ottawa High School, continuing her education at K-State earning her bachelor’s degree in sociology. Sandra worked as a Legal Administrator’s Assistant for Judge McClain in Olathe. After retiring she was able to devote more time to the pastimes that she enjoyed. She was an active member of the Shawnee Quilt Club, Miniatures Club and Gardening Club. She enjoyed a variety of fiber arts, knitting/crochet, embroidery, needlepoint but was especially fond of quilting. All of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren have handmade quilts designed and made especially for them. She was also fond of perusing flea markets, garage sales and antiques stores to find all sorts of beautiful and collectible items. But Sandra’s greatest pleasure was spending time with her family.
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents Aubrey and Blanche White and her loving daughter Andrea Heiling who passed away on October 7, 2023. She is survived by her loving husband of 14 years Kenneth Willett of the home, two sons David King and his wife Susan Smith of Topeka, Kansas, John A. King and his wife Kathy of Edgerton, Kansas, her daughter Beth Singer and her husband Daniel of Edgerton, Kansas. Left behind to cherish her memory are her seven grandchildren Michelle Edmondson (Ryan), Brittany Bailey (Jared), Beth King, Kelly King, Sean Singer, Jack Singer and Sarah King and four great grandchildren Seymour, Delia, Liam and Lilly.
Sandra will be cremated according to her wishes. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
