Rowena Ann Spencer Arnold

Rowena Ann Arnold, 76, of Olathe, KS., passed away Monday, March 12, 2012 at Evergreen Community Nursing Home in Olathe, KS. She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Rowena was born on October 19, 1935 in Altamont, KS., to Alfred E. and Martha Blanche (Rennie) Spencer. She attended Kansas School for the Deaf, and was a faithful member of Deaf International Community Church. She also was a member of an organization, Deaf Club for Senior Citizens. Rowena is preceded in death by her husband, James Cooper Arnold who died on February 15, 2006. Survivors include her three sons, Robert P. Arnold and his wife Sharon of Olathe, KS., Randy J. Arnold and his wife Michelle of Marietta, GA., and Richard D. Arnold of Shawnee, KS. Left behind to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Cooper L. Arnold and his wife Emily, Andrew R. Arnold, Michael S. Arnold and Megan Arnold. Rowena is also survived by her sister, Colleen Payne of Parsons, KS., niece, Judy Barney and nephews, Billy Payne and Terry Payne. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2012 at Deaf International Community Church - Center Of Grace 520 South Harrison Olathe, KS. 66061. Burial in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens 13901 Blackbob Road Olathe, KS. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday prior to the service at the church.
