 I remember Ross as having a locker next to me while in high school at Stockton. He was always quiet and so nice. I was shy also but I see I got him to sign my school annual under his picture. We are very sorry to have heard of Ross' passing after reading about his obituary in the Stockton scoop.  Our family has fond memories of everyone in the Lankenau family growing up in the Stockton area (Woodbine) and our heart and prayers are with the entire family during this difficult time.

I was very surprised and saddened by my phone call from Rich Hyuck this past weekend. To learn that Ross had suddendly past. My heart and love go out to the Lankenau's (joan.roger,gordon & wayne). My family and yours had a lot of great times and memories that I will always cherish. I enjoyed and loved many years singing with Ross and HOA, and wil be forever grateful for all the help and support he gave to KC Connection. I have been friends with Ross for over 30 years and we worked together.He was a hard worker and a great friend to share stories with or just a smile. I will miss him every day and cherish the memories of him. Ross was a very gentle man with a kind smile. We all will pray for his family. Please know that he had a place in our family at work we shared so many years together that we do become a family. I was truely shocked and saddened by Ross's passing. God Bless

I was so saddened to see the obit in the Olathe News yesterday!  I remember Ross as a kind-hearted, gentle gentleman, who cared about others and was always helpful, considerate, and a really nice guy!  I remember the days when he and the family traveled with the KC Connetion quartet to contests and gigs.  It was always a pleasure to have Ross along!  My heart goes out to you, Joan, Roger, Gordy, and Wayne!  He probably has a quartet formed in Heaven right now!  Sandy Rule (Rod's widow)

I started singing with the Heart of America Chorus in 1986. Ross was very active a long with Dad Floyd and brothers Wayne and Gordon. Over the years, I got to know Ross and we constantly teased each other about one thing or another. He has been missed at HOA and will definately be missed by all who knew him.

for many years, ross was a strong and passionate member of our barbershop harmony chapter.  the lankenaus were the first family in the long HOA history to have a father and three sons in the chorus, and gordon went on to become director.  ross served a variety of roles, and was never shy about sharing his opinions.   but he also was one of the best faces in the chorus, as his picture here demonstrates.   he is gone way too young.  our thoughts and prayers are with this unique family.

I have many fond memories of singing with Ross in the Heart of America Chorus.  Linda and I are keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

I was glad when I returned to KC area recently and was greeted with Ross's great smile again !   What a nice person , he brightened the day for many. God bless the family in this time of sorrow.
