Robert "Bob" Lawton, 59, of Olathe, Kansas passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Kansas City Hospice House. Bob was born September 19, 1956 in Newton Iowa. He moved to California with his family and graduated from Milliken High School.
Bob was in the Air Force and served at Edwards Air Force Base in California. He worked as a machinist for most of his life most recently at Mid-America Fittings in Overland Park, Kansas.
Bob loved the outdoors. He was happiest when he was mowing, camping, fishing, hunting or just relaxing outdoors with family and friends.
Bob is preceded in death by one son, Sean Davis. Survivors include his wife Tonia Lawton of the home, his parents. Bert & Joyce Lawton of Langley. Oklahoma, his brother David Lawton of Torrance, California, his brother Richard Lawton of Long Beach California, his son Mike Lawton of Colfax, Iowa, his son James Lawton of Tulsa, Oklahoma, his daughter Nicole Nulton of Denver, Colorado, his son Daniel Greer of Kansas City, Missouri and, his son Dalton Nowak of Olathe, Kansas. He also leaves 6 grandkids: Jon Lawton & Alivia Lawton of Newton Iowa, Bella Greer of St Louis, Missouri, Nash & Knox Nulton of Denver, Colorado and Carrie Lawton of Tulsa, Oklahoma as well as many other family members and friends.
Bob will be cremated according to his wishes. “Celebration Of Life” will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 3rd at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. A private family Inurnment will take place at a later date where Bob will be buried with Military Honors in Leavenworth National Cemetery. Leavenworth, Kansas.
