Rachael Ann Peres, 74, of Beeville, Texas passed away on November 7, 2017 at the Olathe Hospice House. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 21,2017 at 1:30 pm at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, 105 E. Loula St., Olathe, KS 66061. Rachael was born in Beeville, Texas on October 16, 1943 to Audrey Pearl Berger Cooley and Thomas Pink Cooley. She attended AC Jones and graduated in 1961. In 1970 she met Harold Lee Peres and became his wife on November, 3rd 1972. The two met while he was stationed in Beeville, Texas. Harold Lee Peres was a mechanical engineer in the US Navy whom she was married to for 36 years before he passed away in 2006. Rachael and Harold settled down in Hearne, Texas. Where the two combined had five lovely children, and Harold began working for the City of Bryan. Rachael worked as a night clerk at Motel 6 and was also a Vet. Tech for Bill. She also raised poodles, she was very passionate about helping animals out. She is survived by her daughters Audrey Hampton, Kerry Peres, Cindy Moore and Donna Zamarripas, and her son Ron Peres, and her brother, Thomas Pink Cooley. She has six grandchildren, Garry, Vincent, Heather, James, Sonja and Benita; six great-grandchildren Jacob, Janiraa, Jordan, Hunter, Anna and Garry Jr. Rachael enjoyed watching baseball and football. Her favorite teams were the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals. Her garden was always well maintained and her favorite flowers were colorful lilies. At a young age she got into sewing and often hand-made items for her family members. Rachael also enjoyed spending most of her time with her family, football nights were often held in her house. She was well loved and will be dearly missed.
