Michael William Ferrell, 55, of Olathe, Kansas passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, February 2, 2015. Michael was born on May 19, 1959 in Olathe, Kansas to Victor Earl and Shirley JoAnn (Taylor) Ferrell . He worked as a carpenter and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, Victor Earl Ferrell and his brother Steven Ferrell. Survivors include his mother Shirley J. Taylor and sister Sheri Ferrell of the home. Michael is also survived by his sisters: Vickey Ferrell of Olathe, Kansas, Karen Wry of Merriam, Kansas, Pam Morgan of Olathe, Kansas and Kelly Jo White of Kansas City, Kansas. Left behind to cherish his memory are his four nieces and five nephews. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
Michael will be cremated according to his wishes. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
