Latisha Marie Wood, 44, of Olathe, Kansas passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 18, 2020. She will forever be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend to everyone she met.
Latisha was born on September 20, 1975 in Wichita, Kansas to Mark C. Campbell and Opal M. Wood. Latisha attended Northview, West View and Fairview Elementary Schools, Oregon Trail Jr. High Middle School and she attended Olathe North and Olathe South High Schools earning an on-line graduation diploma. She attended Colleges on-line with, Argosy, Kansas City Community College and Phoenix University.
She started out babysitting her siblings, and then for friends and acquaintances. At the age of fourteen her first job was with a lady named, Tina Parks at United Teens of America. She worked at the following locations, McDonalds, Long John Silvers, Royal Terrace Nursing Facility, Seven Eleven, Presto, Circle K, Convergy’s and Time Warner. She worked as an assistant manager in the Automotive Department at Walmart in Olathe, Kansas.
She is preceded in death by her father, Mark C. Campbell. She is survived by her loving mother, Opal M. Menser of the home, two younger brothers, Tyrone Wood of Olathe, Kansas, Teri Tobias of Ottawa, Kansas and a younger sister, Tiffany Flowers of Belton, Missouri. Latisha is also survived by her brothers, Robert Bouser of Olathe, Kansas, J.R. Bouser of Olathe, Kansas, Troy Bouser of Olathe, Kansas, Donald Chastain of Belton, Missouri, Richard Chastain of the state of Texas, sisters, Jennifer Vinson of Kansas City, Missouri, Karissa Bouser of Overland Park, Kansas, Ariel Bouser of the state of Texas and Candy Chastain of Lawrence, Kansas. Left behind to cherish her memory are her three aunts, Sheryl Brown of Apple Valley California, Elsie Peetoom of Wichita, Kansas, Teresa Turner of Kansas City, Missouri and one uncle, Lindsey Bouser of Olathe, Kansas. She will be sadly missed by her cousins, Dawn Hadley of Wichita, Kansas, Marcus Wood of Wichita, Kansas, Waynesia Brown of Victorville, California, August Brown of Victorville, California and Ivory Brown of Las Vegas, Nevada. Along with several nieces, Averaeynnah Bouser, Tiarah Bouser, Kaniah Bouser, Angel Bouser, Brenndon Vinson, Andre’ana Smith, Quincy Tobias, Aryionna Fletcher, Kyiah Tobias, Jordan Howell and great nephew, Legend Jimenez, Lance Barry, Lorenzo Toilet, Jayden Bouser and Mckenzie McReynolds.
Latisha will be cremated according to her wishes. A balloon release in "Memory of Latisha" will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2020 at The Hyatt Place / Kansas City Lenexa City Center 8741 Ryckert Street Lenexa, Kansas 66219.
