Karla Kay Joseph

She will forever be remembered as a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she met.

Karla was born on September 14, 1958 in Independence, Missouri to Theodore and Norma (Colter) Popp. Karla attended Lee’s Summit High School. She worked many positions at the J.C. Penny Distribution Center in Lenexa, Kansas before retiring after 35 years.

Karla is preceded in death by her daughter, Elisha Kay Joseph and her father Theodore C.F. Popp. She is survived by her son, Christopher Moise of Olathe, Kansas and mother, Norma L. Popp of Raytown, Missouri, brother, Scott Drew Popp and his wife Carla of Independence, Missouri and two sisters, Debbie Vogel and her husband Marty of Belton, Missouri and Kelly A. Klotz of Raytown, Missouri. She will be sadly missed by her two pet Chihuahua’s, “Stewart” and “Sydney” along with several nieces and nephews.

Karla will be cremated according to her wishes. A ”Celebration of Life” 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 14th at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. Her wish is to be laid to rest with her daughter Elisha in Floral Hills-East Cemetery Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
