John Michael Hall Sr.

John Michael Hall, Sr., 77, of Olathe, KS passed away December 12th 2016. Born October 26th 1939 to Ed and Margaret (Cravens) Hall. After serving in the US Air Force, John learned the family business of construction working with his father at Mussellman and Hall. John then went on to be an entrepreneur owning service stations around south Kansas City. John also was co-owner in E.H. Hall Contractors where he enjoyed a successful career in heavy construction.

John is survived by the love of his life Diana, to whom he was married to for more than fifty-five years, son John (Beth) Hall, daughter Suzanne (Clifton) Coleman, son Brian (Elizabeth) Hall, son Christopher (Heather) Hall, and grandchildren Brett, Morgan, Nicholas, Nathan, Garrett, Henry, and Mahalia.

John enjoyed hunting with his family, friends, and birddogs Boz and Tuffy, camping with Diana in their RV throughout the Midwest, and traveling to many other destinations (including many trips to Las Vegas, NV). John also loved spending time with his many grandchildren in his later life.

Visitation will be 6-8pm, Wednesday, December 14th, at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, 105 E. Loula St, Olathe, KS, where the Rosary will be prayed at 5:30pm. Memorial Mass will be 10am, Thursday December 15th at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 16000 W 143rd St, Olathe, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Olathe Hospice House, 15310 S. Marion St. Olathe, KS, 66061.
