J.C McTavish

J.C. McTavish, 94, of Olathe, Kansas passed away at home on Friday, July 14, 2017. He will forever be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend to everyone he met.

J.C. was born on February 14, 1923 to John Chester and Myrtle Alyida (Brown) McTavish. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, and later worked as a salesman selling cars and RV’s. He will be sadly missed.

J.C. is preceded in death by his parents, John and Myrtle McTavish and his loving wife of 64 years Clara McTavish.

He is survived by his four sons, Gregory J. McTavish and his wife (Vicki) of Olathe, Kansas, Matthew McTavish of Olathe, Kansas, Michael McTavish and his partner (Dan) of Overland Park, Kansas and Patrick McTavish and his wife (Rebecca) of South Fork, North Carolina. He will be sadly missed by his 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

J.C. will be cremated according to his wishes. A private family Inurnment at the lake will take place at a later date.
