James was born on July 22, 1938 in Callaway, Nebraska to the late Julius and Mary Anne (Montgomery) Lange. He was known to love all things sports, especially when his grandkids were involved. James never missed a grandkids game and would always show up supporting his multiple #14’s. He loved his beautiful wife, Arlys more than anything. James was well known for being the only one that ate the cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving. He always had to have his chair, a good cup of coffee with his paper and of course sports playing on the TV.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons: Rodney Lange and Jim Lange and two brothers: Raymond Lange and Dale Lange.
James is survived by his wife, Arlys Lange; son, Mike (Lori) Lange; daughter, Lori (Ryan) Dwyer; and grandchildren: Brittany (Ryan) Callahan, Jamison Lange, Lauryn Dwyer and Dylan Dwyer.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 11 at 5:00pm at McGilley and Frye Funeral Home, 105 E Loula St., Olathe, KS.
