Hazel Joan Crawford, 84, of Olathe, Kansas passed away at home on Monday morning, May 17, 2021. She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she knew.
Hazel was born on April 22, 1937 in Longton, Kansas to George Wayne and Mildred Bessie (Davis) Dalsing. She attended and graduated from Longton High School. She married the love of her life Stanley Crawford on July 21, 1956 in Longton, Kansas. Together they raised their four children Randall, Jeffrey, Paul and Pauline. In her younger years she played softball as a pitcher. She was a dedicated member of Victory Baptist Church in Olathe, Kansas. As a hobby she enjoyed designing artificial flower arrangement for the church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and nothing gave her more pleasure in life than the time she spend with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Hazel is preceded in death by her parents George and Mildred Dalsing, daughter Pauline Jean Crawford, her older sister Nina Marilyn Dalsing, and younger brother Donald Dalsing, She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-four years, Stan Crawford, sons Randall Wayne Crawford and his wife Jerrianne of Olathe, Kansas, Jeffrey Joe Crawford and his wife Melinda of Locust Grove, Georgia and Paul Dean Crawford of Olathe, Kansas. Left behind to cherish her memory are her eight grandchildren, Laura (Joseph) Quinlan, Meagan (Benjamin) Quinlan, Mandy (Chad) Hagen, Nathan (Summer) Crawford, Katy Crawford, Andrew Crawford, Christopher Crawford, and Amelia Crawford. She will be sadly missed by her twelve great grandchildren Luke Quinlan, Micah Quinlan, Naomi Quinlan, Noah Quinlan, Phoebe Quinlan, Elijah Quinlan, Michelle Hagen, David Crawford, Cheyenne Crawford, Christian Crawford, Savannah Crawford and Jackson Crawford.
Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Victory Baptist Church 15075 West 143rd Street Olathe, Kansas. Interment in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens 13901 South Black Bob Road Olathe, Kansas. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the Mc Gilley-Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas.
