Hailey was a beautiful woman inside & out, and she had a smile that could light up a room. Everyone that knew her, loved her. She was a kind, compassionate and determined soul that loved helping others and when others were in pain she did whatever she could to try to take that away from them- she was always the peacemaker. She had an enormous love for playing soccer since a little girl & excelled in this sport into her high school years. Hailey graduated from Olathe East High School in 2013.
After High School Hailey attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. Hailey was to start her senior year as an honors student majoring in English and Spanish with plans to attend law school upon graduation. Hailey was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority along with her mother and grandmother, Betsy Hartzell of Kansas City, Missouri. While at college, Hailey continued her passion for writing and was an amazing & gifted writer. Her last paper she wrote in her creative writing class, her professor advised it to be published- we were so proud. Hailey was a determined student that finished her last semester with straight A’s. She was extremely determined and ambitious and had grand goals set for her future.
Her friends, her dogs and most of all her family always held a special place in her heart. She loved spending time with them & she lived her life with them to the fullest. There is too many loving, fun, happy and joyful memories that we have of our beloved Hailey that would take up this entire space. So for now, we will just like to say that she will be missed beyond measure and that we loved & cherished this beautiful gift from God for as long as we could.
