Esther (Magana) Brown passed peacefully on September 9, 2024, with her companion by her side. She and Don Boydston, whom she affectionately referred to as “my Donald” spent over 20 years together, rarely leaving each other’s side.
Born in Kenneth, Kansas on August 25, 1938, Esther was one of eight children. She attended Stanley High School and graduated in 1958. She worked with her sisters at Torotel Products, which she retired from after 40+ years of dedicated service. Esther did not have children of her own, but she lovingly referred to all her nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great, great nieces and great, great nephews as her kids. Aunt Esther was one-of-a-kind. Strong, thoughtful, witty, kind and she loved her family beyond measure. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her companion Don Boydston, sisters Lupe Magdaleno, Virginia Chavez, sister in-law Estella Magana, and several adoring nieces and nephews.
A service will be held on Friday, September 20th at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. Beginning at 11:00 a.m. followed by a time to visit with the family and share memories of Esther up until 1:00 p.m.
