Carl Elvis Booker Jr., 63 years young, of Olathe, Kansas passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, August 2, 2021. He will forever be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to everyone he knew.
“Rocky" as he was known by his family and friends was born on June 3, 1958 in Dallas, Texas to Carl Elvis Sr. and Nellie Mae (Radcliff) Booker. He was an Eagle Scout and he attended and graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. He worked in Building Maintenance for the Olathe School District.
He enjoyed living the simple life. He enjoyed spending time with his family and nothing gave him more pleasure in life than the time he spent with his grandchildren. If you had the pleasure of knowing “Rocky Booker” you’d agree that he was a man of integrity, kindness and crafty ingenuity. He will be sadly missed.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents Carl Sr. and Nellie Booker. He is survived by his two children Sarah Granger and her husband Bryan of Overland Park, Kansas and his son Jacob Booker and his wife Kasara of Olathe, Kansas. Left behind to cherish his memory are his four grandchildren Bekkah Granger, Abbi Granger, Olivia Black and Henry (Hank) Booker. He is also survived by the mother of his children Claudia G. Booker. Brother Kent Booker and his wife Lisa and sister Dande Snowden both of the state of Texas. Nieces and nephews Kelsey Booker, Nathan Booker, Karl Snowden and Konan Snowden.
Carl will be cremated according to his wishes. A “Celebration of Life” will take place at a later date.
