Brenda Sue Homan, 70, of Horton, Kansas passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 13, 2020. She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to everyone she met.
Brenda was born on August 13, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri to Dean Trice and Frankie Ione (Villines) Spencer. She attended and graduated from Stanley High School, where she enjoyed playing softball with her high school team mates.
She married the love of her life, Timothy M. Homan on June 22,1996. Together they enjoyed, traveling and wine tasting. Brenda enjoyed the time she spent with her family. Nothing gave her more pleasure in life than the times she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Frankie Spencer, her loving son, Roy Dean Brown, her brother, Johnny Glen Spencer, brother-in-law Michael Thomas Baxter and her nephew, Harley David Spencer. She is survived by her loving husband of twenty four years, T. M. Homan of the home and her daughter, Brandi Alisia Whedbee of Phoenix, Arizona. Left behind to cherish her memory are her eight grandchildren; Gabriel Whedbee, Tyler Whedbee, Tate Whedbee, Toby Whedbee, Nish Thomas, Maddie Thomas, Royelle Brown and Quiliah Patterson. She will be sadly missed by her four great grandchildren; Giana Whedbee, Navey Moreno, Tyler Whedbee Jr. and Abigail Whedbee. Brenda is also survived by her sister, Shirla Dean Spencer Baxter of Oak Grove, Missouri, and her two brothers; Donnie Lynn Spencer and his wife Doris of Olathe, Kansas and Richard Lee Spencer and his wife Sandie of Strum, Wisconsin.
According to her wishes, Brenda will be cremated. A “Celebration of Life” is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
