William Alexander “Bill” Robison, 90, passed away on May 29, 2018. He was born on April 6, 1928 in Lamar, OK to George Edward and Lilllian (Johnson) Robison. Bill graduated from Dustin High School and joined the Navy in 1946, serving on the U.S.S. Huntington. After being honorably discharged he returned home and attended Oklahoma State University, where he received his Associates Degree, and then began his life-long career as a boiler engineer and master dry cleaner. He was a true family man and a good provider. His legacy is his work ethic, which he passed on to his children who have excelled in their professions. After a near-fatal accident, his beloved daughter Katie became profoundly disabled; he cared for her with selfless devotion. A member of AA, Bill was proud of his 37 years of sobriety and service. Bill lived for many years in Spencer, OK where he enjoyed gardening, and was a member of The Spencer Round-Up Club. A dog lover, his favorites were “Tiger” and “Patches”. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; mother of his children, Beulah Robison; children, Michael Robison and Katie Robison; and brother, Kenneth Robison. Survivors include his children, William Robison and wife D, and LeaAna Gallemore and husband Jason; grandchildren, Michael Robison and Randi Reed; great-grandson, Tyler Reed; special friend and caregiver, Julia A. Robison; and numerous family members and friends. Finally, Bill’s family wants to extend their gratitude to the MA Retirement Community, and to the amazing, interdisciplinary team at the Valir PACE program, which provided compassionate care that allowed Bill to live at home, to have restorative hospital visits, and finally, outstanding respite care. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday June 1, 2018 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with interment to follow at Kolb Cemetery.
