William Grant Collins Jr.

William Grant Collins Jr., age 70, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Mercy Hospital. William, whom went by Grant, was born in Sheffield, Alabama to William Grant Collins, Sr. and Margarette Charlene Collins (Harbin) on December 10, 1955.

The family moved to Chicago when he was 3 years old. Chicago is where Grant grew up graduated High School and attended Trade School to learn about HVAC. At 21 years old, he moved to Oklahoma. While living in Oklahoma he worked as an HVAC tech doing building maintenance at places like Pepsi Cola and The City of Oklahoma City.

Grant moved back to Illinois in 2008 but found his way back to OKlahoma in 2020.

Grant will be remembered for his talent as a rhythm guitar player. He could be found most nights out playing rock n' roll at different bars. He was always the life of the party.

Grant is survived by his Mother, Margarette, Brother John, and Nieces, Johnna, Jessica, Nichole, and Jade, and the many friends he met along the way.

A memorial service for William will be held Monday, March 24, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 7720 South Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159.
