William Arthur Glass, 87, passed away next to his loving wife of 37 years to be with Lord on June 30th, 2022 at his home in Edmond, Oklahoma. His funeral service will be held this Friday, July 8, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Park Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022, from 4-8 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mr. Glass, the youngest of 4 boys, was born on September 26th, 1934 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Samuel and Daphene Glass. He graduated with honors in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and was also a member of the football and baseball programs. Starting from the bottom, he worked his way up to President and eventually owner of Big Chief Drilling Company. From there he was appointed by Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating as "LP Gas Administrator" and served under several administrations. He married Jean Glass in 1985 and is survived by his children Eddie, Allen, Vincent, Kim, and Charles and his 12 grandchildren Drew, Brett, Charlie, Molly, Chace, Dillon, Karson, Tristan, Tanner, Taylor, Tyler, Conner, Logan and life long friend Tom Davis. Bill loved golf, OU football, politics, and most of all his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He was a "steady rock" to all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
