Walter Lee Farmer

Walter was born in Oklahoma to Junious Brutus Farmer and Jessie “Dovie” Pearl Crow. He retired from the United States Air Force and from the Oklahoma Metropolitan Library System. He also served in the United States Navy.

Walter was a member of Lambuth Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling, playing pool, dominoes and checkers, and watching western movies. He will be remembered for his tremendous generosity, the ferocity of his love for his family, and his dedication to them and his country. He is greatly missed and was an amazing patriarch.

He is survived by his daughter Donna and multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bonita, his brothers John, Junious, Ulysses and sisters Clara, Mildred, Mary, and Kathy, and his sons Kirby, Larry, and Kenneth.

A visitation for Walter will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 7720 South Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159. A funeral service will occur Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 7720 South Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159. A burial will occur Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at Sunny Lane Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4000 SE 29th St, Del City, OK 73115.
