Virginia D. Burns

Dorothy Virginia Burns was born February 27, 1922 to Earnest Alexander Stanley and Ida Belle Stanley in Bells, Tennessee. She passed away at her home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on July 14th, 2010 at the age of 88 years, 4 months and 14 days. Survived by her 4 sons, Udell Burns of OKC, Harvey Burns and wife Ruth of Blytheville, Ark., Jerry Burns and wife Linda of Gause, Tx., Gene Burns and wife B.Jo of OKC, 6 daughters, Tene Brown and husband Don of Jonesboro, Ark., Chris Chappell and husband Guy of Bristow, OK., Sissy (Alice) Jarred of Steele, MO., Joyce Stevens and husband Larry of OKC, Wanda Allison of Holland, MO., Reba Setoodehnia of the home, 31 grand kids, 2 brothers, John Stanley and wife Christine of Gary, Indiana. Charles Stanley and wife Mary Lee of Newbern, TN., 2 sisters Carrie Odgen and husband Delbert of Union City, TN., Frances Canada of Dyersburg, TN.

Virginia was preceded in death by her father, Alexander Stanley, mother, Ida Belle Stanley, 3 brothers, Raymond Stanley, Jim Stanley, and Milton Stanley. She was also preceded in death by three sisters; Sue Stewart, Betty Lawrence, Leonie Stewart; and two son-in-laws Tony Allison, Lesper Jarred, and her precious yorkie Shilah Shay.

The family would like to thank you to Sol Amor Hospice for their remarkable care of our precious mother. Thank you, Raven, Pam and to her housekeeper and friend Linda. A very special thank you to Shellie Denson for being with us and comforting us as our mother and grandmother entered the gates of Heaven.

Momma is home now, the place she has always dreamed of for so long. Rest Mamma, we love and miss you so much!
