Treva LaVonda Stafford Gerard entered eternal life on October 4, 2024 following a brief and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Treva was born in Greenfield, California in 1945 and moved to Oklahoma as a child where she lived the rest of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Herman and Bonnie Avo Stafford, and sisters, Delpha Jean and Jennie Sue Stafford.
In life, Treva was happy, colorful, friendly and charismatic. She was beautiful inside and out. She had a genuine love of people and animals, particularly dogs. Most of all, she loved God, she loved the Bible and she lived her life as a faithful Christian. She was a faithful and active member of the Southwest Church of Christ for the past several decades until her death.
Treva is survived by her sister, Charlotte Petterson and husband Lloyd as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.
A visitation for Treva will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 7720 South Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 1:00 PM at Southwest Church of Christ, 3031 SW 104th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73159 with burial to follow at 4:00pm at Lonestar Cemetery in Rocky, Oklahoma next to her grandfather, Lucious Andrew Stafford.
