Thelma Barnes, 90, passed away November 2, 2012 at her home in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born November 13, 1921 to Frank and Elizabeth (Texiera) Andrade in Honolulu, Hawaii. Thelma was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, family time, especially with her grandchildren, flower gardens and her pets “little dogs”. She was also in Hawaii during the bombing of Pearl Harbor and travelled to the mainland on an ocean liner, over the Pacific Ocean during WWII, to meet with her husband. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond, and 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include one son, Philip Barnes of Oklahoma City, 2 daughters, Jerry Hudson of Oklahoma City, OK; and Barbara Cortez and husband Joel of Oklahoma City, OK; 7 grandchildren: Lori Phillips, Barbara Lynn Blankenship, Debbie Lee Rodman, John Raymond Hudson, Karen Sue Finchum, Douglas Scott Cortez, Joel Kevin Cortez and many great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Alice Anderson of Grisham, OR, and two brothers Patrick Andrade of Kailua, HI and Leonard Andrade of Frisco, TX. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Eisenhour Funeral Home Northeast Chapel at 10:00 am, with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Choctaw, Oklahoma.
