Susan was born June 27, 1941, in Oklahoma City, OK, to Doss Franklin and Margorie May (Waters) Still. She grew up in Spencer, Oklahoma in the wonderful home her father built.
She graduated from Midwest City High School and then went to work for Doctors Randel and Nelson as a doctor's assistant. That is where she met the love of her life, George C. Day. She tells us that the moment she laid eyes on him he was the one. They enjoyed 38 years together raising three children, in Midwest City. They enjoyed doing crafts together...dad did the woodworking, and she did the painting. Mom’s other hobbies were antiquing, sewing, singing to music, tending her roses, and watching her favorite shows like Jewelry TV, Martha Knows Best, and Valerie’s Home Cooking. When she mastered her laptop and learned to google, she found that she could shop at any store her heart desired at any time of day. Truthfully, shopping was her favorite hobby! She also enjoyed having her grandchildren and her great-grandson all around.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George; her infant son at birth, Joseph; parents, Doss and Margie; and brother, Frank.
Surviving family members include her children, Cindy Thompson and husband Doug, Jenny Day, Jeff Day and wife Misty; grandchildren, Ethan, MacKenzie Ahlers and husband Jon, Dylan Thompson and fiancée Isabelle, Austin Day and wife Kayleigh, Taylor, Hannah and fiancé Henry; great-grandson Noah Day; siblings, Sandy Skinner and husband Ronnie, Jack Still, Nan Jack and husband Larry, and Mike Still and wife Kristy; and many nieces and nephews and other family members that will miss her dearly. Also her fur babies, Cooper, Javier and Oliver.
The family would like to thank the kind and loving care provided by SSM Health and Hospice.
