Stephen Robert Thurman, age 47 passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022. Stephen was born on October 25, 1974 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Steve was raised by his Mother (Anne Eileen Thurman), and his Father (Gary Lee Thurman)
Growing up, Steve had a passion and love for many hobbies. He enjoyed fishing, bmx, skateboarding, and camping. He bonded with his father by working side by side with him with the company Gary owned, “Thurman and Sons”. Steve also joined cub scouts in his early childhood, acquiring the nickname, Master Bobcat. He carried many of the same principles into his adult life. Steve loved music, some of his favorite bands were Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many more.
Steve never missed an opportunity to help someone in need. If you needed something, everyone knew you could depend on him. Steve was always giving you the best pointers for carpentry, life advice, and always displayed a great work ethic. He loved remodeling and construction, so much so, in 2014 Steve became the proud owner of his own business “Red Dirt Remodel”. He was a perfectionist to say the least.
His perfect day would consist of being on the water fishing or at home grilling out for everyone. He would spend hours in his garage perfecting his tool organization. He also enjoyed cruising around on his motorcycle on a sunny day.
Steve loved his family more than anything in this world, and everyone knew it. You could always count on an early morning call or text from him. Whether it be about something that reminded him of you or just to chat, Steve was always thinking of you and wanted you to know. He married his beautiful wife Nicole on July 3, 2015, who he met in 2008. They built an amazing life together and spent their time being outdoors, kayaking, riding Steve’s motorcycle, weekend pool time, cooking amazing food, and looked forward to their weekly date nights. Steve loved surprising Nicole with gifts and always did everything he could to make her happy.
Steve’s legacy will be cherished by his loving wife Nicole Thurman, parents, Gary and Anne Thurman, Children, Jesse Humphrey, Madison Thurman, Dylan Thurman, Bailey Paschetti, Kenzie Uhrynowycz, brother, Geoff Thurman, and sister, Amie and her husband, Nicholas Carter, six nephews, and two fur babies Rex and Bella to remember him forever. He was everyone's best friend and we will miss him.
