Shirley Phyllis Williams, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, October 17 in Midwest City. Shirley was born on February 28, 1935 in Canada to parents, Louie and Emma (Phillipina) Hollinger, one of their fourteen children.
Shirley worked as an accountant for many years at Kraft foods. She was known to be very feisty, witty and fun loving. She loved to play all kinds of games, dominos, and card games, especially poker. She taught all of her children and grandchildren poker, and how to lose. She also loved the occasional poker night with the girls. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, shopping and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jake” L. Williams, her parents and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Jerilyn Lucy and her husband Alfred of Del City; three sons, James Williams and his wife Cindy of Russelville, AR, Paul Williams of Midwest City, and Jack Williams of Midwest City; three sisters, Goldie Wilkerson, Lucille Motterhead, and Hattie Henderson; grandchildren, Christopher, Chrisi, Jake, Heather, and Amanda; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2P.M., Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home NE Chapel with entombment to follow in the Arlington Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
