Shirley Jean Stacy Trochta

Our loving mother, Shirley Jean Stacy Trochta passed away peacefully in her sleep April 28, 2024 at the age of 88. Shirley was married to Charles Trochta of Oklahoma City where they lived and were family co-owners of the popular florist -Trochta’s Flower’s and Greenhouses. They were known for growing the best chrysanthemums and poinsettias in the state. Many people from around the world came to visit and admire the flowers grown by the Trochta family.

Shirley was a faithful Christian woman who enjoyed attending weekly Bible study groups. She was an avid tennis player and scuba diver who loved to travel. She also enjoyed horse races. She and her husband owned many winning race horses after the family owned-florist was sold in 1981. Most of all, Shirley loved being a grandmother.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Trochta, her parents Leroy and Vera Stacy and her sister Judy. Shirley is survived by daughter Sherry, son Bruce, his wife Janna, sisters Perilea and Carol, plus 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

We will always cherish her love and sense of humor, forever carrying her memory in our hearts.

Visitation will be held Friday May 10, 2024 from 4:00 pm– 8:00 pm and Saturday May 11, 2024 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper. A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 4:00 pm.
