Sharon graduated from Northeast High school and attended the University of Central Oklahoma for 1 year.
She was married to William Gordon Durant on August 16, 1968. She held a career in administration for Dr C. Jack Young and Midwest Regional Hospital. Sharon was a member of Home Health and The Girl Scouts Adult Leadership and had a passion for arts and crafts and interior design.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Bill Durant; Son, Bryan and Mary Jo Durant and their children Jacob and Ben; Son, Riley and Lori Durant and their children Sam and Andy; Sister, Lynne Fenstad, and family friend John Gieck.
A visitation for Sharon will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Sharon will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, Durant, Oklahoma.
Serving as pallbearers are Bryan Durant, Riley Durant, Sam Durant, Jacob Durant, Ben Durant, Andrew Durant, Dwight Paulson and Dick Vaurina.
