Sam graduated from Clinton High School where he was active in sports among extracurricular activities. He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega at Oklahoma University and graduated with a business degree. He remained lifelong friends with his pledge brothers. Sam served in the United States Army in the Korean Conflict.
He moved to Dallas, Texas and opened a Men’s clothing shop in the Adolphus Hotel.
In 1962 Sam married Sandee Brewer. Along with his brother, they opened Hamburgers by Jamie in Dallas and expanded to additional cities and states.
Later He and Sandee opened women’s clothing stores in the Dallas Metroplex.
They retired to Scottsdale, Arizona and in 2018 moved to Oklahoma City where they joined their large Lebanese family.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandee, his sons Brewer and Slade, his parents, grandparents and brother, Jim Simon and several loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberlee Simon Jordan and his son, Sam Simon III, his nieces Jamie Simon Diamond, Chandler Simon Lewis and many cousins. A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 8, 2024 at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Home, 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City. Burial to follow at Sparkman/Hillcrest Mausoleum & Memorial Park in Dallas Metroplex, Texas
