Born in Skiatook, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Gerald and Minnie Huddleston. She graduated from Skiatook High School as valedictorian, and completed her freshman year at Oklahoma State University. She was a homemaker and was employed as a tax preparer at H&R Block for ten years.
Ruth attended Victory Church where she served alongside Jerry for many years. In addition to her love for ministry, Ruth’s greatest love was her family. She was cheerfully devoted to her children and grandchildren. Ruth was always eager to be present at her grandchildren’s activities and events. Her generosity, cooking, and attitude for serving her loved ones are a few of her many great attributes. Some of her famous dishes included fried chicken, chicken taco, holiday dressing, ice cream cakes, and iced sugar cookies. Her warm embrace, contagious laughter, and heartfelt love was known by all her friends and family.
She is survived by husband Jerald Allen Leonard, daughter Jerri Lynn and husband Alan Ortiz, son Mark Leonard, daughter Janice and husband George Tardibono. Her grandchildren include Kelli and husband Chris Larimore, David and wife Kailey Ortiz, Karen Ortiz, Joseph Ortiz, Jeremy Leonard, Kayla Leonard, Amber and husband Javan Hamman, Olivia and husband Sawyer Wilson, Abigail Tardibono, Lilly Tardibono, and great grandchildren, Axel Larimore, Willow Larimore, Josie Ortiz, Javion Leonard, Autumn Leonard, and Tripp Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Minnie Huddleston, siblings Roger Huddleston, Herman Huddleston, Carol Carter, Clayton Huddleston, her son Jacob and wife Triva Leonard, and grandson Ethan Tardibono.
