Ruth Bunker passed peacefully on April 9, 2012, at home with her family at her side. Born in Lincoln, Nebraska to Guy & Ethel Hershner, she graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Home Economics. In 1947, she married Willard Bunker, also of Lincoln, whom she had known since the 7th grade. With their 2 daughters they made a life together, following Willard's career in the oil and gas industry. The many relocations proved to be life enriching for Ruth and the family.
Ruth loved and appreciated beauty, quality and her family. An excellent seamstress and cook, she enjoyed music, dance and travel. One of her greatest joys was a long road trip!
We are especially grateful to Michelle Cole, Vicky Beecroft and Karen Owens who so lovingly cared for her. She loved each of you.
Ruth is predeceased by her parents, sister Imogene of Lincoln, sister Katherine of Rochester, MN, and husband Willard. She is survived by daughters Beth Logan and Betsy Knudsen.
