Today, by chance, I thought back to my time as a German soldier at NATO Headquarters AFCENT in the Netherlands from 1986 to 1988 and searched the Internet for my former superior and friend Russel Heath. I was deeply saddened and dismayed to learn that he had already passed away in 2021. I will always remember this extraordinary person and our time together. May he rest in peace.

It's so hard to believe that it has been a year now since he was taken home. He was my 1st love. I was his 1st wife. I'm so sorry for his family today . I know you are hurting. I've always loved him and always will. Just know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

What a pleasure and honor it was to know him. When the veterans center started the adopt a resident program it was such a  privilege  and honor to adopt you. You’ll always be in my prayers and heart. And I’ll always was was celebrate your favorite occasion 
Halloween in a great manner. I will remember how excited you were when I made that Halloween door with the Dracula getting a transfusion you thought it was the best ever. I’m sorry that Aid talked you out of it and never returned it.
