Dr. Russell F. Allen

Dr. Russell Floyd Allen, M.D., of Nichols Hills, passed from this life on January 3, 2018 at the age of 84 years. He was born to Harold and Elizabeth Allen in Billings, OK on January 9, 1933. He grew up in the Oklahoma City area, graduating from Central High School in 1952. After graduation, Russell served in the United States Air Force and the United States Air National Guard with the 124th Air traffic Control and Warning. He then attended the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine, earning his Medical Doctorate in 1963. He worked as a physician at Deaconess Hospital, the Mercy Hospital consulting staff, and Baptist Hospital Emergency Room. He married Marjorie A. (Stiles) Allen on May 28, 2014 in Taloga, OK.

In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Jean Carney and Phyliss Green.

He is survived by his wife Marjorie of the home, son Michael Allen of Germany, grandson Ryan Allen of Germany, and cousin Anita Logan of Taloga, OK, as well as a lifetime of friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Memorial Park Historic Cemetery Chapel, Oklahoma City.
