Ronald Alan Young passed away from natural causes April 3, 2024. He was born July 18, 1959 in Fort Worth, Texas to Norris and Carol Young. He was known to his family as Ronnie or Uncle Ronnie and his friends as Ron. He was a father, grandfather, brother, and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was very passionate for his family and loved them with all he had. And he was a friend for life. His career began as a delivery driver for OCD2, a parts man Ted Wards & Endurance auto parts, and a mechanic for Cable VW. He finished out at J&S and Tech-Link the job he truly loved. He enjoyed his Harley Davidson, photography, working on cars, working with his hands tinkering to fix things. In his younger years, he was a talented artist enjoying drawing cars in detail on his sketch pad. And probably his favorite enjoyment was traveling. Whether to see places he had never seen or to visit family far away, he would plan his vacation each year to go on a road trip.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Norris and Carol A. Young and his niece, Carol L. Young. He is survived by his son, Andrew R. Berry and his wife Alexandria “Allie" of Bettendorf Iowa; his bonus son Allen Odom of San Antonio Texas; his brother Freddie Young of League City Texas; his brother Ralph Young of Oklahoma City; his sister Wanda Blair and husband Henry of Edmond; his granddaughters Elsa and Ahna of Bettendorf; and beloved nieces and nephews, Crystal, Johnathon, Timothy, Shayna, Rachel, Taylor, Kyle, and Stormy; and all his cousins from Tennessee, Texas and California. He is also survived by his two dogs he cherished; Alice and Tiger.
Ronnie will be deeply missed but we know he found salvation many years ago and he is with our Heavenly Father and we have comfort knowing we will see him again.
Funeral services will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 2:00 pm.
