Robert "Bob" Weaver passed away unexpectedly on September 28th, 2022 at an Oklahoma Hospital. He was born on April 29th, 1967 in Mt. Edgecumbe, AK, the son of Robert L. Weaver and Frances Joseph Maag. He was a member of the Tlingit Tribe.
Bob graduated from Huntington North High School class of 1985 in Huntington, IN and the ITT Technical Institute in Dayton, OH in 1992 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Tool Engineering Technology. He was an Associate Member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and was ASE certified.
Bob served in the U.S. Army from 1985 to 1989 having been stationed in Germany, he met his future wife, Melisa Carden and her children: Leslie and Richard Perry. They married on February 25th, 1989 in Charleston, MO once both had finished their military tours in Germany. Bob joined Melisa in Ohio where she was stationed once his military service had ended. They welcomed their third child, Trevor Lewis Weaver, in June of 1992. They moved to Oklahoma in 1995 and made their home there once Melisa retired from the Air Force.
Bob was employed by Kirby-Smith Machinery in Oklahoma for the past 18 years where he recently took a new position as the Inventory Control Coordinator. He loved his job and was grateful to work for a company that valued their employees and treated them like family.
He loved his family with all of his heart. Never once did he say, this is my stepdaughter or my stepson. They were his daughter and son. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, as were his children. He loved his in-laws as he loved his own parents.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Shane Lewis Weaver of Huntington, IN; and his in-laws, Milo and Sylvia Carden. He is survived by his wife, Melisa; his daughter, Leslie Gwinn and husband Michael of North Carolina; sons, Trevor Weaver of Newalla, OK and Richard Perry of Stillwater, OK; parents, Robert Weaver and Frances Maag both of IN; sister, Charlene Korber of Virginia; five grandchildren Micah Gwinn, Sarai Gwinn, Cage Gwinn, Malacai Perry, and Matthew Miller; as well as many nieces and nephews.
