Robert Eugene Mantle

Robert (Bob) Mantle born October 4, 1939 in Wadsworth, Ohio, was called to his heavenly home January 14, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents Marion & Edith Mantle, Brothers Dale, Albert, and Don, Sister JoAnne, and stepson Bobby Dennis. Bob is survived by wife Glenda, son Tim Mantle, daughter Gail Shannon, and stepdaughter Patti Dennis; five grandchildren: Crystal Watford, Kelsie Cummins (Brandon), Justin Mantle (Valorie), Judd Shannon and Jakob Shannon; and 4 great-grandchildren: Easton Watford, Jaxon Watford, Aria Mantle, and Gunner Cummins. Bob was saved and baptized at the Main Street Baptist Church in Wadsworth, Ohio. He was called to the Lord’s ministry in 1963, and graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. During his ministry he planted Churches in Missouri, Indiana and was a pastor in Oklahoma. Bob also worked for the City of Midwest City, sold real estate for Abide, Prudential and Remax. He loved his church family at First Baptist Church Choctaw where he taught a men’s class and also taught the book of Revelation and many other topics from God’s Word! His desire was to be a blessing to his Savior and to others. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Choctaw.
